Lucas then slices once ice soldier directly down the middle and both halves fall to either side behind Gosalyn. "You're welcome. We should get moving. We won't get anything done fighting these guys. We can clear a way and get a move on, there's no defeating them all." He then jumps up and crushes the head of one ice soldier with a well placed kick.

"Clear a way, clear a way," she grumbled. "Just once this week I'd like a fight to end with me not running away."
She did a spinning upside down kick to the head of one soldier, landed one-handed and slashed another in half, held up her blade as one sliced his own arm in half then finished him off, and sliced cleanly through three more.
She began clearing a swath through them, taking broader attack patterns to clear a way. She spun her blade and stabbed behind her, taking another one down. "If we're going, then let's go!" she called. | |

"Trained by the best," Lucas says as Gosalyn as she remarks on his speed. He cuts one down that steps out in front of him and smirks. "At least the lady knows how to keep a person entertained."
Half an hour later, they all stop. The hail clouds had actually receded a bit. That must have put a dent in the army Glacia's sent...well...maybe not. He then suggests they hide under the forest canopy and they do just that. Lucas begins to wipe off his sword. It's still freezing cold. "That was a pretty good go. We're making progress."

"No can do. It's getting dark out. Even Glacia can't see too well at night. Clouds or Not." The clouds overhead still recede back west. They were safe for the time being but Glacia wouldn't give up. Movement was a good idea but at the same time, so was rest. Here it was late in the afternoon. They'd been fighting since early this morning. He knew one thing. At any pace, it'd take a day to reach town. A quick rest wouldn't hurt. Still though, he says nothing, knowing his place in this one.

Gosalyn looked ahead. Her dragon eyes could make out the city from this distance, but it was more of a spec to Lucas's eyes, she was sure. The smell was...
It gave her mixed feelings. On the one hand, she loved progress. As an inventor, she had come up with countless devices. However, this air couldn't be good for living things--or the environment. She thought about ways of improving life without destroying it.
With these heavy thoughts in mind, she walked on. She figured finding Hugo would be fairly easy. She knew a few blacksmiths--and inventors, especially--in this town. The sooner this was done, the better. | |

The party arrives at the edge of the Silver Sky Forest. This side hadn't been iced over yet but it was coming. That event back in Geonitrus could only mean Glacia's reach was expanding. Lucas walks in first with Cerelus on his shoulders. "All right, so East, correct?"
"Yeah yeah!" Cerelus says. "Far enough East that we start hearing the Blue Jays!"
"All right then," Lucas says. "Let's go." | |

Gosalyn walked behind the pair with her elbows in the air and her hands behind her head. She shook her head at their casualness. What with the ice b***'s reach obviously having extended further than they thought, being that loose probably wasn't wisest.
Though she herself looked to be at her ease, she kept her guard up, eying the area, sniffing the air occasionally to scent for trouble. If something sought to attack them, they'd not find her unaware, let alone easy prey. | |

"Well," Gosalyn said, "if you like meat, I still have plenty or roast pork from our first trip in this forest, still hot and fresh. Gotta love keep spells."
Putting action to word, she reached into her cloak and pulled out the giant pieces of roast, spreading them out and offering them to the others. | |

At that, Lucas grabs his own then punches a tree and drops down a apple into his hand. Following his ration of the main course, he takes a bite of the apple. "Thanks for the meal. Soon as the kid's finished, we'll head back out." Suddenly a gift-wrapped box drops from the tree and lands square on Lucas' head before dropping to the ground. "OW! Hey, what the- Huh?"

Morrigan snaps and the wheel begins to spin. "Round and Round and Round she goes, where she'll stop, only I know." The wheel does eventually stop, a needle on it pointing down over one of the guild missions. "This guild seems to be having trouble getting to any of the local animals. Apparently a Bursala is causing the shortage. Find the Bursala and take it out. I'll find you when you do, no worries." Morrigan then snaps and she disappears along with her set-up. | |
