"Bursala are big bear-lookin' monsters that spout fire and stand up on their hind leg when they're angry," Cerelus says, being the little walking dictionary that she was.

"I could've sworn it was DRAGONS that breathed hot air," Lucas calmly retorts, his hands now behind his head.

"If you wanna find something like a Bursala, you don't waste time on tracks. Those you lead you to a plain old bear. Look for claw marks in a tree that managed to burn the bark. Bursala leave those to mark territory," Cerelus chimes in.

"Yes and you're INFINITELY better at it," Lucas retorts.

Given some time, Cerelus manages to see a burned in claw mark on a tree. "I found something!"

Monster Attack!
2 Lycans, lvl 1

One lycan suddenly emerges from behind the trees as does a second, both snarling at the trio of young adventurers. "Hoo, boy. And here I thought this little adventure would be too easy!" Lucas says, cracking his knuckles through his gauntlets.

Lucas lunges forward and punches his own quarrel across the face. He then grabs the lycan as it begins to regain its footing and slams it into the ground before picking it up again and throwing it at a tree. But the minute the Lycan gets up, it snarls and lashes out on Lucas, clawing at him intensely. Lucan manages to get himself scratched along the left arm and his right leg before blocking any further shots. "Geez, talk about friendly."

The second Lycan weaves its way out from the path of Gosalyn's attack and slashes at her once with its powerful claws. It then opens its mouth and emits a powerful howling attack. This was one of the signature moves of a Lycan. It was the Devil's Howl, a powerful Sound-Based attack that emits in the form of wolf's howling.

Lycan 1 - 45HP - 3HP = 42HP
Lucas - 30HP - 2 = 28HP

Gosalyn - 30HP - 3HP = 27HP

The Lycan blocks off the first of the five by clamping down its jaws around the blade and tugging it while Gosalyn holds on, flinging her to the side. It then growls and slashes directly down over Gosalyn with its two powerful arms and nigh-indestructible claws.

Lucas had finished blocking a barrage of claw slashes and was now on the offensive again. A right hook, a left, a hammer. Lucas then punches his Lycan square in its snout only to grab it and drag it back toward him in time for it to be met by an uppercut that throws it from its feet. As he prepares to take it down, the beast suddenly turns itself and emits the Devil's Howl, tossing Lucas from his feet and into a tree, causing an apple to fall into his hand.

Lycan1 - 42HP - 4HP = 38HP
Lucas - 28HP - 2HP = 26HP

The Lycan staggers back as the weapon clashes with it. A Light weapon. How convenient for the young adventurers. But the convenience was only spent so well as the Lycan lunges forward, slashing down across Gosalyn's facial area before leaping upward and behind her at a tree, jumping from that tree and dive-bombing at Gosalyn with an X-Slash.

Lucas meanwhile takes his own Lycan and throw it up, punching it across the area into a tree before jumping up and grabbing one of the branches. As the Lycan begins to get up, Lucas drops down and lands on him before wailing on it three times before the beast throws him off and slashes at him three times over. Lucas, unfortunately, catches the worst of this barrage and slides back, digging his gauntlet into the ground to help him stop. "Man, these guys are tougher than I expected. Good"

Lucas - 26HP - 3HP = 23HP

The Lycan slashes Gosalyn's face then lands directly on top of her with its dive bomb and jumps off. It then leaps out of the way of the kick and swiftly avoids being sliced again by the blade. It then opens its mouth and howls again with the powerful concussive eruption of sound from its vocal cords.

Lucas manages to avoid another frenzy in time to avoid being decapitated then jumps up and kicks the beast in the head once per leg before delivering a one-two and finally throwing it up into the branches of a tree with his uppercut. He then just barely rolls out of the way as the Lycan drops back down in an attempt to crush him.

Lucas - 23HP

Torog will admit it to himself....he's really lost. The entire point of going on this mission was to keep to the freaking roads and all...but he is so freaking lost. The trees...they tend to damage one's sense of direction. That's his excuse. He's about ready to turn when he hears someone cursing in the distance.

He looks up and then moves closer. He looks through the trees and finds--a battle! Score! Talk about excellent timing! He rushes in immediately, bashing the nearest Lycan with his shield while he roars in gleeful excitement.

The Lycan that was struck was the one that challenged Lucas. Lucas uses the opportunity to lash out on his own, delivering another swift flurry of five punches, one to the snout, one to the gut, two to the torso, and a final to the snout once more.

Lycan1 - 27HP-2HP = 25HP-5HP = 20HP

As the dwarf who dared to strike it while it was little aware landed, the lycan turned and looked between them, suddenly lashing out with a trio of vertical slashes down over Lucas before suddenly turning and utter it's special, the Devil's Howl, at the dwarf.

Meanwhile, the lycan that challenges Gosalyn weaves out of the way, springing back and up into a tree, jumping from limb to limb before dropping down behind Gosalyn and X-Slashing at her wings before jumping over her and slashing twice horizontally, and finally emitting another powerful Devil's Howl.

Lycan2 - 35HP

The Dwarf raises an eyebrow as the creature howls at him. Though he cringes at the sound, as well as foul smell of its breath, bracing for force or damage.

When the creature is finished, however, he grins as he raises his massive axe and roars loudly in return, half with threat and the other in excitement and glee.

Then, he strikes heavily at the Lycan, lifting the axe as high as it can go and bring it down in a vertical strike as he finishes screaming at the beast.
