| Double ImpactsDouble impacts are a new mechanic that has replaced Resistances. While resistances ARE still in effect, it applies under this. A Double-Impact is simply put, when an attack does Double OR Half the Damage. An attack does Double the damage if the receiver is weak to that element. An attack does half the damage if the receiver resists that element. However, there is a catch of sorts. Characters and NPC's are weak to certain elements personally. Standard enemies don't have this personal weakness. Their weaknesses are determined by their type. ElementsThe Elements include Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Light, Darkness, Sound, Metal, Forest, Ice, Ego (AKA Mind), Lightning, Color, Love. Those Marked Red Are Off Limits.Match-UpsInstead of the original percent system, this basically works in the same way as the Same Type Advantage Bonus (STAB) does in Pokemon. Moves that suit the match up of a character do 1.5 times the damage. This is easier to keep track of without the extra math. | |
