Lucas attempts to duck out of the way but after being grazed by the first strike, he's thrown off rhythm. He then can't help but take the other four hits. He rolls to a stop and begins to get up. He then chuckles to himself and throws out one firm punch, followed by a side swipe.

Lucas successfully evades the jab to the midsection and parries the palm strike to the chin then brings his gauntlets together around Gosalyn's head at the very moment she knife hands him in the neck. The two of them then stands perfectly still and unflinching. Finally, they both back down. Lucas then begins to laugh. "War or not," he says, dropping down into an Indian style sitting position, "that was the most fun I've had in weeks!" He continues to laugh as only someone of his boundless confidence and charisma would.

"Good show, you two!" Hugo says. "Here, let ol' Hugo help ya both out now." He then tosses them both Maxi-Apples to help them restore themselves.

Lucas walks out from the next room over in Hugo's shop. It'd doubled as his home and had a few extra rooms. The place wasn't built for a dwarf, after all. Hugo had let them stay there. "Morning." Lucas then smells a sweet aroma. He peaks into the next room over. A kitchen. Hugo and Cerelus were up and making breakfast. In fact, that was an understatement. They were making a feast!

"The entire kitchen," Lucas remarks, watching as Cerelus zips around, preparing course after course while Hugo stands at the sink on a stool, washing his hands.

Hugo gives a hardy laugh and steps down. "Not the entire thing, lad but most of it."

[Attn: Open]

"Thanks!" Cerelus says.

"Aye. Eat big, work hard. Around here ya have to be eatin' like kings every day if you're going to keep up with the rest of the kingdom. Especially when you don't use all of the new technology the factories are getting. Lately, the factories have all been calming down though," Hugo says.

[Attn: Open]

"We don't really know. Things started to slow down a couple weeks ago. Last week, the entire Kingdom hit a weak crawl," Cerelus chimes.

"With the war overseas, it ain't too likely that demand dropped overnight. No, something else must have happened," Hugo adds.

"Good point. Don't the factories around here all run on permit of the royal family or something? Maybe the royal family's just taking notice to the outputs of the factories and cutting their permits until something's done about it."

At this Hugo laughs. "Oh, no lad, that's not it. It may not look or smell too nice but the outputs of the fac'tries around here are harmless."

[Attn: Resistance]

Hugo then puts down is mug of ale. "I'll be honest with ya. Somethin' strange has been goin' on in the palace. The king and queen haven't come out in ages. They usually make regular rounds about the kingdom but in the past week...nothin'. Not even a peep."

[Attn: Open]

"Actually, I was going to suggest a less direct approach," Lucas says with a grin.

Hugo then gets an idea. "The underground sewer network in this city is where all the fac'tries' harmful outputs are sent. It leads to the palace. Under the palace is a furnace the size of a dragon. But there's a route there somewhere that the workers in the palace go to make sure the fire's workin' just right. We can head down into those sewers to get in that way."

"But there's a problem!" Cerelus chimes in. "The tunnels are reeeaaal small. Might only be enough room for a couple of us!

"Aye, lass. We'll have to send one party in through the tunnels and once inside, they'll open up the front gate for the others," Hugo says.

[Attn: Open]

"All right then, the two of you go on ahead. The lad an I will take to the front gates. Oh and Cerelus."

"Yeah, Hugo?"

"Make sure to pack plenty of the you know what."

Cerelus then laughs. "Hee hee! Boom Boom! Got it!" She then rushes off.

[Attn: Gosalyn]

Cerelus makes her way to her stand and opens up a large crate. She then manages to pull from it several different manners of explosives and giggles at them as she puts them into a bag. "Always carry a little POW! Just in case!"

[Attn: Open]

Cerelus then pops up from her stands. "The fastest way into the tunnels is through one of the factories. The nearest factory is over there. C'mon, c'mon!" She then dashes off.

[Attn: Open]

Cerelus leads Gosalyn to a large factory not far away. "This factory has the biggest entry way to the lower tunnels. It'll be easiest for us to get in from here," she says.
