Ufaria, Kingdom of the Forest

Ufaria is a beautiful safe haven. The trees all around this glorious kingdom built like a village are the ultimate view. It is peaceful and pleasant and flowers bloom and the grass is as green as can be.


Paladina steps out from the Royal Gates and wanders into town, sword and her side, shield on her back. She kindly greets several of the young children who run up to her affectionately.

Hura stood up and straightened her dress, then grabbed Cane's hand. "Come on." She said leading him back into the ball room, "We're dancing." She says, wanting to get this feeling out of her body. They start dancing in time to th emusic

Alina gets up and looks out over the balcony on the couples dancing. Among the couples she sees Arina and Lucas dancing. "It's fine," she tries to tell herself as her voice cracks, "he's just trying to have good time. Like I told him. It doesn't mean anything if they're dancing it just-" All of a sudden, she starts taking sharp intakes of breath. Her eyes bulge out as she gasps for breath. Her eyes roll in the back of her head as she goes unconscious and falls off the balcony ledge.

Aria looks over at the balcony and gasps at the sight, her eyes wide, "ALINA!!!"

Lance drops what he's doing and dashes across the ballroom floor, smoothly ducking and dodging through couples before leaping and catching Alina, rolling to a stop and picking her up. Lucas looks up and sees the incident and leaves Arina clueless on the ballroom floor, running up to them. "Alina. Geez, is she all right?"

"She will be all right," Lance says. "She needs to rest."

Hura just keot quiet and stared at the moon

Alina wheezes violently in Lance's arms.

Cane overheard the commotion inside. "Hey, what's goin on in there?"


"All right, get her to my room," Lei says, "Lie her down on the bed so she can rest. Kim, you know medicine, go with her."

"Of course, my lady," Kim bows.

Lucas, Lance, and Kim then take Alina to Lei's room and set her down on the bed. "All right, I will examine her," Kim says. She then stares at both boys who don't quite get the picture.

"Oh! Oh yeah sure, we'll just be on our way then," Lucas says, leaving as Lance rolls his eyes and follows.

Kim turns to Alina and feels her forehead, sensing the fever. "Hm...abnormally high."

Hura shrgged. "Whatever it is, probably doesn't involve us." Hura says, making a valid point

Alina begins muttering something, too fast to be understood.

Cane looks down somewhat out of what may be guilt of not going to check and goes inside to see what'd happened.

Meanwhile, Kim finishes her examination. "I've never seen anything like this. Her temperature is...she's actually COLD. But her body acts as though she's got the flu."

Lucas and Lance both walk into the room, each standing on either side of the bed.

"go ahead." She says. "I'll still be here when you get back."

Alina coughs violently, then calms down. When her coughing stops, a drop of blood trickles from her mouth.

"It is probably best to let her rest," Kim says as everyone leaves her presence.

Cane returns outside to Hura, his hands in his pockets. "Hey."

Hura has her eyes closed. "Hey." She says.

Traci secretly observed the group after Alina's incident, amazed by the quick reaction of Lance. The next morning, Lucas sits up in the training grounds, beating the stuffing out of punching bags. Arina watches with Kim and Paladina. "Wow, look at him go," she says.

"He certainly is rather zealous," Kim adds.

"He's got spunk, all right. Hey, Kim, have you checked on Princess Alina yet today?"

Kim nods and folds her fan. "She was doing better. Though I've no clue what could have caused such a strange condition in the first place."

Alina sits on a swing attached to a large tree in the gardens.

Nana trots around the palace gardens until she finds Alina. "Kyuyu."

Alina looks down, and says with a weak voice, "Hello little one." She picks Nana up and sets her on her lap.

Suddenly, Lei and Pyra step out from around the garden corner. "Alina," Pyra says.

"Hello, Alina."

Alina looks up from petting Nana. "Geez, you two sure are cozy." She says in a sarcastic, but still slightly weak voice.

"I actually came looking for Nana. Nana, it's breakfast time for you," Lei says. Nana utters in her peculiar animal language and leaps into Lei's arms then Lei leaves, too leaving Pyra, hand on hip, with Alina.

"So how long do you plan on trying to make use believe you're fine? And please. Don't tell me you really are okay. I have three little sisters."

"I am fine," Alina says in protest, "right now anyways..."

"You were coughing up blood, Alina. That isn't okay. I personally don't care at all. You're tough and smart, you'll get out of it somehow. But don't go around lying to everyone...including yourself," Pyra says as she turns to leave.

"Since when did she turn into a sage?" Alina mumbles to herself before getting off the swing. She leaves the gardens and decides to wander the palace halls aimlessly.

Curiously enough, Paladina steps inside as she sees Alina passing by. "Ah, there you are. Are you prepared to leave tonight?"
