Attilan: Kingdom of the Sea

[Attn: Open]

Two young girls rush through the streets of Attilan and finally push their way through a crowd of people to find out what the bustle is about. They watch from the front as a young woman with white hair and a few cuts and bruises with murky red eyes is shackled at the wrists and ankles by the Town Mages of the floating city. This was the infamous 'White Thief' people were talking about? She was so young. They stared at her as the mages began to take her away, both with their jaws promptly dropped.

"Whoa," Hela says, shaking with excitement after she is carried off. "I can't WAIT to take that test and finally be a Town Mage!"

"Huh?" Crescia ponders. "You're talking like that's going to be tomorrow, Hela. That's almost four years away. Wouldn't being a Free-Lance Mage be more practical?"

"Don't be ridiculous, Crescia. Town Mages are the best there is! Come on, let's see if daddy will let us in and see the newest prisoner!"

The two aspiring mages then rush off toward the holding chambers.

Spiritia stood quiet as she was put in a holding cell, her red eyes scanned the space around her. She sighed to herself, closing them and leaning on a wall in the cell. 'Well then... That hadn't gone as planned.' She thought, smirking in spite of herself.

[Attn: Spiritia]

Hela and Crescia are ultimately allowed to enter the prison chambers and see the criminal that'd just been caught. "Excuse me," Crescia says. "But...why did you steal all of that stuff?"

"You really think TALKING to a criminal is going to do anything, Crescia?" Hela remarks.

[Attn: Crescia, Hela]

Spiritia looked up a bit, "Long story, short. I was trying to help out my father;" She began, smirking. "And you flatter me, though I don't think I can be classified as a criminal by stealing things no one would miss" She replied to Hela, giving a dry, short chuckle.

[Attn: Spiritia]

"If no one would miss it then why was a warrant for your arrest put out in the first place?" Hela retorts.

"She's got you there," Crescia says.

[Attn: Hela, Crescia]

Spiritia looked thoughtful for a brief moment. "Yes, she does have me there. Well, I don't have an answer to that question, I'm not all knowing." She replied, closing her eyes. "If I may, If I'm such a criminal, why are you two even conversing with me?"

[Attn: Spiritia]

"Because it takes a thief to beat a thief. You can get out of here any time you want, I'm sure," Hela says. "But, you see, you're old news. A while after you popped up, the infamous White Thief, there came another. The MORE infamous BLACK Thief. So good he even escaped the Knights of the Dark Kingdom. If we can get into the mind of one thief, we can easily take care of this one. Then we can take that test early and-"

"Wait, THAT'S what this is about?" Crescia says, surprised at her friend. "That's...devious."

[Attn: Hela, Crescia]

"Yes, you could be right about me getting out anytime I want" Spiritia allowed her signature smirk to appear on her lips. "Though if you can't even get into the mind of the White Thief how can ever hope to accomplish taking down the Black Thief?" Spiritia now, was toying with the two.

[Attn: Spiritia]

"That's what I was about to get at. So...why stealing? Why now work for what you need like everyone else? Faster? More convenient, maybe?"

[Attn: Crescia, Hela]

"I was born into a family of thieves, it comes naturally." Spiritia replied swiftly.

[Attn: Spiritia]

"What? You can't INHERIT being a thief. That's-"

Suddenly the girls are met by Hela's father. "Girls, you have to leave. Come on. Move, move, move. We need to get you to the Mage's Table. They're setting up the Kingdom's protective barrier."

"What? What's wrong?!" Crescia asks.

"We're...under attack. Go!"

Hela and Crescia then turn and nod to one another before running off to get to the town center where everyone would no doubt be.

Spiritia blinked a bit, opening her eyes. She raised an eyebrow. 'Now then, if only I could get out of here.' She thought, smirking mentally.

[Attn: Open]

The girls manage to get outside in time to see what is happening. Soldiers literally rain down from the sky. As that transpires, one massive soldier, towering over most of the kingdom itself, approaches from the bridge. "By the Goddesses," prays Hela's father. "Girls, get to that Mages Table now."

The girls nod to Hela's father and rush away, managing to get there just in time. How sad that it was far too little far too late. The barrier wasn't helping a thing. The soldiers only began to crack the thing as they fell on top of, or around it. Then came the giant one. One solid punch and the entire barrier shattered. But that was all this colossus was good for. Its leg suddenly gave and it toppled over, falling on top of the Prison.

Spiritia growled lowly, pressing her back against a wall as the giant fell directly above her cell, narrowly avoiding getting crushed under the colossus, then she jumped onto it, smirking. "Well then, talk about convenient."

[Attn: Open]

"Wait...what just-" Hela begins, only to be cut off by Crescia who points up at a rooftop. There stands a man in black with a sword in one hand that he quickly sheathes. "That must be the...the..."

"The Black Thief! He brought this on us!" Hela's father yells.

"H-huh?" Hela says, snapping out of it.

The Black Thief only looks over his shoulder and stands in silence, looking over the crowd.

Spiritia remains on the Ice Soldier, her arms crossed as she leaped off the giant, she looked around the crowd, noticing the Black Thief on a rooftop. 'So THAT'S that Black Thief...' She thought.

[Attn: Open]

Hela looks back at everyone an watches as the Black Thief jumps down from the building, rushing off into the army of ice soldiers. She then makes up her mind and chases after him. Using her metal magic to toss aside and smash any ice soldiers in the way. "Hela!" Her father calls out. Crescia then spins her staff and uses her fire magic to force the soldiers back. They don't fully melt but it causes them to slow up.

The two girls follow to the point of reaching a place where the Black Thief had supposedly destroyed a number of ice soldiers as they lay on the ground around him in pieces. "Whoa," Crescia says.

"Stand Down!" Hela says, holding up her staff.

[Attn: Open]

Spiritia kept her distance, watching the three, thinking of when she could jump in, or even if she could. She growled silently to herself.

[Attn: Open]

The Black Thief then glances over his shoulder. "I do not appreciate eavesdroppers," he says as he turns to Spiritia.

[Attn: Black Thief, Open]

Spiritia smirked, standing against the rock. "Now now, why think I was eavesdropping?" She inquires, her voice dripping with a sly tone.

[Attn: Spiritia]

"You were standing out of the clearest line of sight, observing a matter that doesn't concern you. I have no time for any of you to be certain. This city will fall to the ice army soon enough. You would be wise to leave here before that happens," says the Black Thief before sheathing his blade and turning to leave.

[Attn: Open]

Smirking lightly, Spiritia murmured to herself. "Oh trust me, I am planning on leaving." She then glanced at the two mages for a moment, then back at Attilan.

[Attn: All]

The Black Thief then stops where he is and sighs. "If it is of any consolation, the bridge has been destroyed by now. The only way out of this place is through the underground tunnel...it is this way."

"What? No way am I trusting you, crook!" Hela barks.

"Do as you please. I am no thief. As far as you should be concerned, my name is Ven." He then walks off. Hela stands there and watches him leave but Crescia makes up her mind to follow him. Hela then clenches her fist and carves a message into the ground with her metal magic for someone to find and follows.

Spiritia watched the three for a moment, but then decided to follow, ready to stop at any given time.
